Beautiful cards with CTMH's Love Blossoms kit

Image
Close to My Heart (CTMH) introduced a special promotion for the month's of February and March called the Love Blossoms Cardmaking Workshop. For more information on the beautiful workshop read this post from CTMH's blog here. The kit comes with cardstock, mini ink pads, two stamp sets, an embossing folder, and embellishing thread. The workshop creates 12 cards of three different styles which are shown below. These images are sourced from CTMH's blog post.
I really enjoyed this kit however I had a hard time getting the floral stamps to stamp clean images. I used my stamping platform, my Stamparatus from Stampin' Up, to re-stamp the flowers until the image turned out nicely. I also did not use the color centers as they were impossible to line up with the center of the images. Therefore, I created a lot of alternatives with this beautiful set. The alternative cards that I created with are shown in the images below.  To create these alternatives I played with some ink blend…

Thank you card in the air

Today I wanted to share a thank you card featuring the Up for an Adventure stamp set from Kindred Stamps. For the sky background I used distressed inks to create the blue sky, and a white pigment ink and Cloud Stencil from Witt & Sass Stamp Company to create the translucent clouds. Unfortunately, the stencil is no longer available as the company is retired.  The banner and sentiment are from the Lifting Spirits retired stamp set from Close to My Heart. I fussy cut out the banner once I stamped the sentiment onto the shape. To add dimension, I popped up the house and banner onto some 3D foam squares. I stamped the house and banner using Memento black ink. Below, I listed the copic sketch alcohol marker  colors I used to color the house and balloons. I hope you enjoy this card! *Note: Kindred Stamps kindly asks its customers and designers to refer to their stamp sets by their listed name. Please don't use actual character names within your comments.
