Kindred Stamps May Release Guest Designer - World of Magic Creations

Hi everyone, thank you for stopping by my blog! I'm so excited to share my card designs for the May Release for Kindred Stamps! I was fortunate enough to be selected as a guest designer for this release. I designed four unique cards with the World of Magic stamp set. I used Copic sketch alcohol markers to color these fun stamps. My coloring guide is listed towards the end of the post.

The World of Magic stamp set features eight different characters associated with the wizarding world and ten creative sentiments. This stamp set pairs with the retired Masters of Magic stamp set and the retired Students of Magic stamp set (and their bonus digis!). Together these stamp sets make a wonderful wizarding collection.

Please enjoy my four card designs featuring the retired World of Magic stamp set below.

Card One: Fortune Teller
For the first card I used Distress oxide inks, Nuvo glimmer paste, and the Moon and Stars stencil to create the mystical background. I heat embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder onto a shimmery blue cardstock oval and layered it on top of a slightly larger oval of vellum. I also used white blizzard Nuvo glitter drops on crystal ball for shimmery look.

I created two alternative backgrounds for this card, one on silver foil metallic cardstock and another on plain white cardstock. I used the same distress oxide colors with the Moon and Stars stencil for each card. It's amazing to see how the oxide colors change across the different color surfaces!

Card Two: Somewhat Headless Apparition
For the second card I made a slider card in which the ghost floats through a hallway. I used the Distress Brick stencil and Distress inks (pumice stone and black soot) to create the background. I used scrap cardstock and stitched frame dies to create wall paintings for the ghost to float by. When you pull the tab it displays the sentiment "Don't lose your head."
Card Three: Whimpering Woman Bathroom Ghost
My third project is also a slider card, however; this is considered a double slider card as the element moves in the opposite direction as the pull tab. I used my Cricut machine to cut out a 3D toilet image. With this slider card the character pops up out of the toilet bowl. I heat embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder. I popped the sentiment up with some foam tape.

Card Four: Crazy Cat Professor
The last card I created a project that focuses on the crazy cat lady. It is a pretty simple card as I used a pink-striped patterned cardstock for the background. This woman is known for her cat plate decor. I used a 1/2 inch circle die with white cardstock to create the plates. I used the Cozy Cat Cubbies stamp set from Art Impressions to create the cuddly kittens.
I hope you enjoy all of my cards for this stamp set. Please comment below and tell me which of these projects are your favorite.
