Gearing Up for Some Manly Cards

Image
Today I wanted to share a set of masculine cards that I have made for some muscle car lovers. I made two different card designs with the Geared Up Garage stamp set from Stampin' Up. I also made coordinating envelopes for these awesome birthday cards.
I used black Memento ink to stamp the sentiment and to create the smokey backgrounds. I used alcohol markers to color the muscle cards. I used the coordinating die set to embellish the cards with some metallic gears. I would love to know which card design you like best! Comment below!

Kindred Stamps July Release - Nuts About You

Image
I'm so excited to announce that I'm officially part of the Kindred Stamps design team! For my first release I get to share with you the Kindred Stamps Nuts About You stamp set. I've created three nutty projects to share with you today. I have also included a Copic coloring guide for these characters at the end of this blog post.

I heat embossed the sentiment to make the sentiment pop from the background. This 3D card still folds flat to so that it can be mailed in a normal A2 sized card envelope.
For my second project I used my Cricut electronic cutting machine to make an acorn tag. I used distress ink on the edges of the acorn to add dimension. I used Versafine black ink to stamp the sentiments. This tag would be perfect to wrap around dinner napkins for Thanksgiving! For my last project I made a slider…

My First ATC Swap Event

I decided to participate in my very first ATC swap! What is an ATC? An ATC is commonly known as an Artist Trading Card (ATC) that can be swapped between fellow crafters and artists. The Frolicking Fairy blog does a great job of explaining ATCs here.

Frolicking Fairy was the host of the space themed Kindred Stamps ATC swap. Details on this specific swap can be found here. With all of the fun and geeky stamp sets that Kindred Stamps makes I was eager to participate! If you haven't already you should check out the Kindred Stamps website by clicking here!

For my ATC design I used the Space Heroes limited release stamp set featuring the Racoon and the Tree Guy. Copic marker coloring guides for these characters are listed below. For this ATC swap, I make 10 copies of the same design. I kept 1 version for myself and sent the 9 other versions out for the trade.
I used distress ink blending on the card background and the moon. I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. I a…
