New Year, New Kindred Stamps Release!

With a new year comes wonderful NEW products from Kindred Stamps! For the January release I get to showcase a variety of new products: the Stay Strong stamp set and coordinating digital image, the Greek stencil (coming soon!), and the Damask stencil. Check out all the new products in the January release here. I have made 4 different projects with these featured items: three card designs and one journal page. At the bottom of the page I also included a copic coloring guide for the character images. I would love to hear which of these projects were your favorites!

Project 1
For the first project I wanted to feature the super strong hero. For the card background I ink blended yellow ink over the new KS Greek stencil. I matted the background on some vellum and royal blue cardstock. I stamped the "You're My Hero" sentiment with a coordinating blue ink pad. I cut out some layered column images in Cricut Design Space using my Cricut Explore Air 2 machine. I propped the character…

Kindred Stamps Holiday Card Challenge

One of the best parts about joining the Kindred Stamps Fan Club page on Facebook is getting access to the challenges. The challenges are so much fun because its a way that everyone can share their creativity. The winner of this challenge wins a random prize pack. Find out more about this challenge on the Kindred Stamps blog here. The challenge ends tonight at midnight! But don't worry there will be more challenges in the future.

For my submission for the challenge features the Mine Workers stamp set as holiday carolers. Instead of their normal outfits I colored each of the dwarves with red holiday outfits with Santa hats with my copic sketch markers. The dwarves were cut out and layered onto the cardfront. I used the musical notes from the retired KS You're Purrfect stamp set. I also used the Stacey Yacula Studio Front Door stamp to create the card background as if the carolers were singing in front of a house.

January 7th Christmas Card Showcase

Over the next few days I'm gonna be featuring a really cool foiling technique using the Spellbinder's Glimmer Hot Foil System. Today I am sharing my cards using the Reindeer Games die. The Glimmer Hot Foil system is SO easy to use and makes wonderful cards in minutes. TIP: *The Glimmer Hot Foil System only works with the Spellbinder's special foil. For more tips on how to use this system check out Jennifer McGuire's YouTube video here.

To make these cards I just used some simple layering techniques. The foiled lettering makes these cards stand out. Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Make sure to come back tomorrow!

January 6th Christmas Card Showcase

For Day 6 of my Christmas Card Showcase I decided to switch it up and share some holiday tag make-n-take projects! I used my Cricut Explore electronic cutting machine to do most of the work. The print-n-cut feature worked nicely to make the different color tags. I used the holiday character stamps from Kindred Stamps Advent Calendar (retired). As always, I colored the images with my copic markers. I used the Classic Snowflake Scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby for the background. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Check back tomorrow for more creations.

January 5th Christmas Card Showcase

Thanks for checking back to my blog for the 5th day of sharing! Today's card features an icy character from Kindred Stamps Winter Friends (retired) stamp set. For the card background I used the Classic Snowflake Scrapbook Paper from Hobby Lobby.
For the snowflake images, I used my CTMH Snow Flurries (retired) thin cuts. I cut two shapes out of vellum and white cardstock. I used my silver shimmer pen on the white snowflake and the ice princess's dress. I used foam tape to adhere the princess to the card to add dimension.

January 3rd Christmas Card Showcase

For the third day I am sharing another digital image that I colored for a card front. Check out the free digital image from Di's Digi Stamps here. For more information on Di's Digi Stamps check out the company's facebook page here. I kept the card background simple to focus the attention on the critters. Make sure to check back tomorrow for my Day 4 holiday card design.

January 2nd Christmas Card Showcase

For the second day of my holiday cards, I want to share the card I made with the Kat Scrappiness Merry Critters stamp set. To create the background I used the Purple Onion Designs Pine Tree Farm stamp set designed by Stacy Yacula. Her stamps are very useful to those who do not feel confident sketching backgrounds (like myself). I colored the characters and the trees with my copic sketch markers. I masked these images with Gina K. Masking Magic to create the ink blended background with distress oxide inks. *TIP: When masking start from the front of the card to the back, in other words, mask the front images first, then work towards the background.
I used a gelly joll white pen to create the snowfall. I heat embossed the sentiment with Brutus Monroe Alabaster white embossing powder.  The sentiment reads, "There's Snow One Like You."  Finally, I stamped the reindeer on the envelope to coordinate with the card design.

January 1st Christmas Cards Showcase

The holidays are a time for family and friends, therefore; I took a much needed break from social media in December. Throughout January I will be sharing the Christmas cards I made last month as well as some other creations.

For my first creation I am sharing this beautiful single-layered card that I colored with the help of Kit and Clowder. Kit and Clowder provides monthly tutorials for coloring with alcohol markers and colored pencils. I have tried various online coloring classes from different instructors and I believe that her instruction is the most effective for me. She is currently offering a free rose coloring class check it out here.

If you sign up for her monthly classes she gifts you another coloring class for free. The free class also comes with a free digital image. The image I am sharing today comes from the free coloring class from October 2019. The class provides instruction for coloring with markers and colored pencils. I colored this image with my copic sketch marker…
