For the second day of my holiday cards, I want to share the card I made with the Kat Scrappiness Merry Critters stamp set. To create the background I used the Purple Onion Designs Pine Tree Farm stamp set designed by Stacy Yacula. Her stamps are very useful to those who do not feel confident sketching backgrounds (like myself). I colored the characters and the trees with my copic sketch markers. I masked these images with Gina K. Masking Magic to create the ink blended background with distress oxide inks. *TIP: When masking start from the front of the card to the back, in other words, mask the front images first, then work towards the background.
I used a gelly joll white pen to create the snowfall. I heat embossed the sentiment with Brutus Monroe Alabaster white embossing powder. The sentiment reads, “There’s Snow One Like You.”
Finally, I stamped the reindeer on the envelope to coordinate with the card design.
