Coffee and Confidence

Good morning! Today I created just for me and just for fun! I mean ALL crafting is fun but sometimes there are stamp set that really speaks to you you just HAVE to create with it!  The Curvy Darla stamp set from Sassy Club Stamps is just so cute and she's so much fun to color.
I wanted to use a more feminine background to coordinate with this stamp set and I thought the Diamond Flower stencil from The Rabbit Hole Designs worked perfectly. I used Distress Oxide Inks (Picked Raspberry, Dusty Concord, and Squeezed Lemonade) to ink blend the background. I stamped the sentiment on a scalloped square die cut from the Layering Squares Dies set from Stampin' Up. To finish the card I added some subtle embellishments with Darice Enamel Stickers. Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog. Check out my other recent creations on my Instagram page here. Hope to see you back here soon! -Bri Product List *Items may contain affiliate links. Crafty Festival Christmas Club May 2020 Blog Hop

Hey everybody! This month I decided to start participating in the Christmas Club Blog Hop. On the 25th of each month Crafty Festival hosts a holiday blog hop. I think this is nice because instead of forcing yourself to make a bunch of holiday cards in one month it spaces it out over the year. Check out the Crafty Festival Facebook page for more information on this blog hop here.  Since this is my first time participating in this hop I decided to work with my favorite holiday stamp set: Happy Owlidays from Sunny Studio Stamps. I made two cards with this stamp set. All of the images were colored with Copic sketch alcohol markers.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog. Be sure to hop along with us for even more festive  winter holiday inspiration!

Hello Summer Slimline

Hi everyone! Thanks for checking out my blog. Today I'm sharing a card overflowing with summer time happiness. This card features the new Hello Summer stamp set from Kindred Stamps. Inspiration for this card came from Ashley Ebben and her creation on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog. Check out her slimline card here. Slimline cards are great because you can make multiple scenes on one card. I loved the idea of showing half the card on the beach and the other half of the card under the water.
For the top half of the card, I layered multiple cuts of the Puffy Cloud Borders from Lawn Fawn to create the clouds. I also used the Stitched Hillside Borders to make the beach and the bottom of the ocean. The palm tree stamp is from the Beach Happy (retired) stamp set from Stampin' Up.  I heat embossed the "Hello Summer" sentiment with white embossing powder from Brutus Monroe onto a stitched yellow circle. I adhered the circle, the penguin and the dog onto the card with some 3D foam…

Crafty Festival Spring Celebrations 2020: Father's Day Blog Hop

Hey everybody! I’m back today participating in my first blog hop with the Crafty Festival group. They had a series of blog hops featuring Spring Celebrations for 2020. This hop celebrates Father's Day! For this blog hop I used the Leading Gentlemen stamp set from the Essentials by Ellen Leading Ladies collection by Ellen Hutson. I created two card projects featuring this stamp set for Father's Day. The stamp set is mostly geared towards a significant other with its flirty sentiments, but I think I made it work for this occasion as well. For my first project I used the Skinny Plaid stencil from Kindred Stamps and Distress Oxide ink to create the card background. I stamped the sentiment "You Are A Gentlemen and a Scholar" onto a stitched nesting label. I used my copic markers to color the Dad. I tried to give this character a beard, not sure how well it turned out.
For my second card I used the other image stamps included in the Leading Gentleman stamp set to make the ca…

Kindred Stamps May 2020 Release - Life's A Ride

I am so thrilled to show everyone a sneak peak from the Kindred Stamps May 2020 monthly release. This month I get to share with you the Life's A Ride stamp set featuring awesome park attractions and the Kindred Stamps Creative Team! I created two awesome card projects with this amazing stamp set. At the end of the blog post I have included a product list of the items used to create these projects. Since I created multiple variations some of the stamp images I did not provide a coloring guide. Life's A Ride will be available for purchase on the Kindred Stamps website on Friday, May 22 at 8 AM PST.
Project 1 For my first project I created a slimline card (3.5" x 8.5") to show off all the fun park ride stamps. I used Distress Oxide inks (Picked Raspberry, Tumbled Glass, and Seedless Preserves) to create the three colorful panels that each measured 2.5" x 3". I used Purple Tape to mask off 1/4" sections of the card front to create the white space surroundin…

KS Wacky Holiday for May - National Yoga Day

I'm bending over backwards with excitement for this beautiful creation! The stamp featured on this card is part of Kindred Stamp's monthly Wacky Holiday collection. The holiday celebrated with this stamp is National Yoga Day (June 21st). I made two card projects featuring this stamp set and two new KS stencils: Mandala and Crackle. National Yoga Day is available on the Kindred Stamps website on Friday, April 8th. At the end of this post I have included a Copic coloring guide for the yoga girls and a product list of the tools I used to make these creations.
Project One My favorite part of this card is the beautiful background I create with the new Mandala stencil. I used various Distress Oxides for the colorful ink blending. I also love the punny sentiment "Congrats on Your New Position". Last, I adhered some sequins to the card to add a little sparkle! Project Two My favorite part of this card is the awesome sentiment "Let's Get It OM". It really makes me g…
