KS Bananas Limited Edition Box

The wait is the over! The first Kindred Stamps limited edition box of the new year has arrived: Bananas. This box includes so many great items including a stamp set, paper pack, sticker sheet, shaker mix, washi tape, twine, and a bunch of other fun goodies. The Bananas limited edition box will be available on the Kindred Stamps website on Friday, May 15th at 8 AM PST. This box inspired so many projects for me and I can't wait to share them all with you! Today I am sharing SIX card projects. At the end of this blog post I have provided a copic coloring guide for these characters. Leave me a comment below and tell me which project was your favorite!

My first two cards feature the funny yellow guys. Here's a fun fact: These little guys are buildable! The stamp set includes the base for two heights - short or tall, and then you choose the eyes, hair, and mouths to use to create multiple ones!

Project 1
For my first project I created a simple layered card. I trimmed down a piece of pattern paper from the box kit and layered it on top of solid yellow and blue cardstock. I also matted a strip of white cardstock on top of solid yellow and blue cardstock. I stamped the sentiment "You Are One In A" in coordinating ink. I stamped the "One" in blue ink to make the word stand out more. I also made a matching envelope with the coordinating washi tape.  I stamped the sentiment "I've got my eye on you" and an eye stamp on the envelope flap for a little extra humor. The patterned paper included in this Bananas limited edition box is fantastic!
Project 2
This banana cardstock is also included in the box's wonderful paper pack. I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 and Cricut Design Space to make the banana cut outs for this awesome shaker card, which also showcases the beautiful shaker mix included in the box. I propped the characters with foam tape to add dimension to the card. I also made a coordinating envelope for this card as well.
The rest of the cards feature the other four characters in this stamp set: three little girls and an evil dad!

Project 3
For my third card I created an ink blended background with Distress Oxide inks that coordinates with the three different personalities of the little girls. I used stitched circle dies to create white contrasting backgrounds behind the little girls to make them pop. Last I adhered the sentiment strip "Sisters Make the Best Friends" with foam tape.
Project 4
For my fourth project I made a card featuring the evil dad. I used my the Print and Cut feature in Cricut Design Space and my Cricut Explore Air 2 for the moon image. I used my distress oxide inks to create a spacey background. I matted a strip of white cardstock on top of silver metallic cardstock. I heat embossed the "Let's Steal The Moon" sentiment with silver embossing powder. I am really happy with how the skin tone blending turned out with this character.
My last two projects feature Kindred Stamp's first metal die! This carnival die coordinates perfectly with this box.

Project 5
For my fifth project I started by creating a fun card background with the KS Chevron stencil and distress ink. I also used the distress ink to create the ombre-looking background behind the carnival scene. I colored the carnival scene die cut with copic markers and a white gel pen to give the card a more whimsical feel. Last, I stamped the 'sisters' sentiment that I used previously on the inside of the card.
Project 6
For my last project, I wanted to make a generic card with the new metal die. This card could be used for any occasion. I used acetate to attach the carnival outline to the front of the card. I used distress oxide ink to create the sunset background behind the die cut. I personally love the contrast between the white cardstock and the bright background.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog. The Bananas limited edition box will be available on the Kindred Stamps website on Friday, May 15 at 8 AM PST.
