Crafty Festival Christmas Club June 2020 Blog Hop

Hey everybody! On the 25th of each month Crafty Festival hosts a holiday blog hop. I think this is nice because instead of forcing yourself to make a bunch of holiday cards in one or two months it spaces the work throughout over year. Check out the Crafty Festival Facebook page for more information on the Christmas Club blog hop and other blog hops here
This card is definitely one of my more simple cards compared to my other recent creations. Sometimes its therapeutic to make an easier card after a long day at work…
This month I decided to use some festive items from my retired stash. The Filled with Love stamp set is from the Simon Says Stamp Stamptember 2019 Collaboration with Heffy Doodle and it is unfortunately no longer available. I colored the cute holiday critters sticking out of the stockings with my Copic markers. The colors I used on the critters are listed at the end of this blog post. The striped cardstock used on the card base and the envelope liner is from the retired Oh What Fun Paper Pack from Close to My Heart. I used coordinating ink pads to stamp the color onto the stock. Finally, for subtle detail I used the Winter Knit embossing folder from Stampin’ Up (currently in the clearance rack!) on white cardstock for the card background.

I stamped the sentiment, “May All Your Stockings Be Filled With Love This Christmas” on the inside of the card.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog. Be sure to hop along with us for even more festive  winter holiday inspiration! – Bri
