Kindred Stamps June 2020 Release – Manor Haunts & Happy After Life

Hi everyone! It’s Kindred Stamps release week! I’m so excited to share with you my second sneak peak from the Kindred Stamps June 2020 monthly release.  Check out my first sneak peak here. Today I am sharing four projects I created with the Manor Haunts and Happy Afterlife stamp sets. All the characters were colored with my Copic sketch markers. I had a lot  of fun coloring the ghostly characters with my B and BG colors. Manor Haunts will be available for purchase on the Kindred Stamps website on Friday, June 26th at 8 AM PST.

Project 1

My first card features a mystical fortune teller in a crystal ball. The curtains and end table I cut with my Cricut Explore Air 2. I used Copic markers and Distress Oxide ink to shade and distress the cricut images. After coloring the fortune teller I used Liquid Glass on the crystal ball to give it a glossy look. I used white embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment “spirits from beyond tell me.” On the inside of the card I used the “It’s time to celebrate” sentiment. Finally for the wallpaper and envelope liner I used a piece of patterned cardstock from the Day in the Park paper pack.

Project 2
For my next project I wanted to re-create this somewhat famous portrait. I used Distress Oxide ink to create the sky background and the lake background. I used my Copic markers to make it look like water ripples from something stirring below the surface. I used a branch stamp from the Art Impressions WC Foilage Set 1 stamp set to create the hanging leaves. I used a short piece of twine to create a tightrope. Finally I double-matted the image to look like a wooden picture frame. I used my Copic markers to create the woodgrain detail on the brown cardstock.
Project 3
For my third project I created a graveyard scene with the grounds keeper ghost and the NEW graveyard scene die. I ink blended the spooky night sky background with Distress Oxide inks. I even added some “glowing orbs” with Nuvo drops for some added dimension. I heat embossed the sentiment “I’m Dying To Spend Time With You” in silver embossing powder. The only thing that would have made this card even better is if I had also used the new Haunted Glitter Gloss on the card as well!
Project 4
My last project is a slimline slider card featuring three mischievous hitchhikers from the Happy Afterlife stamp set.  I used the same wallpaper background as in the first project. I created a hiding nook in the center of the card so when the hitchhikers slide out from behind it they look like they are traveling through the walls. I heat embossed the “Home is Where Your Ghouls Are” sentiment with silver embossing powder and matted the sentiment strip on a piece of silver foil cardstock. I have included a video below to illustrate the slider mechanism.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog! Let me know which project you liked the best by leaving a comment below. Make sure to check out the KS release this Friday! -Bri
