i-Crafter Light Up Santa Tunnel Card

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing another holiday creation featuring the Tunnel Card, Santa Add-On set which is an add-on for the Tunnel Card Base set from i-Crafter. I just love all the blue winter tones throughout the card. Using Pearblossom Press Power Pack Unit I made this 3D project extra special by turning it into a light up card!

With the Tunnel Card, Santa Add-On there are three background layers (circles) that line up perfectly into the tunnel base die. The front layer features the trees, the middle layer features the house, and the back layer features the reindeer and the sleigh. There are also several decorative elements in this set too including trees, a house, and the “Happy Holidays” sentiment die.
To make the tunnel card I cut out four tunnel bases, swapping out the front, middle, and back scenic layers, and finally leaving the last one solid. I used the solid card base for the tunnel card background. I trimmed off the sides of the two inner layers, one at the score lines and the other a little past the score lines to give varying heights. To create the blue scenes I ink blended the layers with Distress Oxide inks and glued the bases in place.
I die cut and ink blended a few extra tree pieces. The extra trees help cover up the Pearblossom Press Power Pack Unit for the light up mechanism, which I attached behind the second card panel on the left hand side. I used a blue light from the Chibitronics Primary Color Lights Pack so the light-up feature could match the winter theme. I also die cut the house onto white card stock so it could stand out from the snowy scenery. I used gray ink to distress the cabin to give it more of a rustic feel. Finally, I stuck a piece of vellum behind the house die cut to create window and door shadows and adhered the house to the second card base. Below is a video showcasing the light-up feature of the tunnel card. If you have any additional questions feel free to reach out!
