i-Crafter Pine Tree Wreath

Image
Hi everyone! Today I am sharing another winter themed paper craft featuring the new Pine Tree 3D die set from i-Crafter. This die set includes 5 different sizes of snowflake dies with cuts in the center and a tree base to build adorable miniature paper trees. I decided to use the snowflakes to make an alternative project: a wreath. This project is featured on the i-Crafter blog today too, check it out here. To create the wreath I first cut a large 11.5" circle using my Cricut machine out of white cardstock for my circular base. Next I used four sheets of icicle themed scrapbook paper from the Crystal Blues Paper Pad to create the varying sized snowflake die cuts. I used the darker parts of the patterned paper for the larger snowflakes that are placed in the back of the wreath. I used the lighter areas for the smaller snowflake die cuts. I cut a few snowflakes from scraps of white glitter cardstock as well to break up the blues towards the front of the wreath.
I ink blended with St…

Project 1 For my first card I used the small sunflower image to create a earthy monotone background on kraft cardstock, then I colored a big bold sunflower image and placed it in the center to brighten up the card. I heat embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder onto a brown sentiment strip and placed it on top of the colored sunflower. I attached the princess to the card with foam tape for dimension. I stamp…

Image
Hey everybody! It's the 25th, so you know what that means, it's the Crafty Festival Christmas Club blog hop! Each month we share a little bit of holiday inspiration with this hop. Instead of forcing yourself to make a bunch of holiday cards at the last minute, it spaces the work throughout the year.  Check out the Crafty Festival Facebook page for more information on the Christmas Club blog hop and their other blog hops here. I can't believe it's only two months until Christmas! Today I am sharing a card that is more of a winter-themed card than a Christmas card featuring the Victoria - Wanna Build a Snowman stamp set from Stamp Anniething. It gives me chills over how adorable this stamp set looks! I used Copic markers to color the girl and snowman images. I have listed the markers I used in a coloring guide at the bottom of this post.  To create the falling snow background I first ink blended a solid background with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink, then I used white pi…

Hi everyone! I am excited to introduce this brand new miniature collection to you, Matchbooks! This tiny collection from Art Impressions includes two template dies (Matchbook Template and Matchbook Envelope), four scenes (Birthday, Kitchen, Craft Room and Den), and two accessory sets (Wall Accessories and Cat Accessories).  My creation features the Kitchen Matchbook set and the Cat Accessory set. I have also included an assembly video so make sure to check it out! This project is featured on the Art Impressions blog today, check it out here. First I used scraps of cardstock to die cut the Matchbook Template and Matchbook Envelope. The yellow plaid paper works perfectly as retro kitchen wallpaper.  I also used patterned brown cardstock to create the kitchen floor, the window linings, and the envelope bow. I stamped the cat paw prints onto the floor with black ink.
All that is left to do now is to create the kitchen scene by adding the furniture, appliances, and the sentiment flap! I colo…

Back to Basics Blog Hop

Image
Hi everyone today I'm participating in the Back to Basics Blog Hop hosted by Handmade Happiness. Handmade Happiness is a group for crafters that want to participate in hops and collaborations. All cardmakers with YouTube channels, blogs or social media accounts are welcome. Check the Facebook group out here. Check out the other hop participants in the line up at the end of this post . Back to Basics Blog Hop
Sometimes it’s fun to just go in the craft room and not always worry about using the latest and greatest and keeping up with the newest techniques. For this hop the participants will create a project using minimal supplies and simple techniques like we all used to. For my Back to Basics creation I used a simple piece of scrapbook paper to create the card background. This festive pumpkin paper and the gray bones paper is from the Halloweeny Paper Pad. I matted the card front and layered the sentiment with the gray bones paper. The sentiment and pumpkin bunny is from the Halloween…

Ai Beautiful Baby Annoucement

Image
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Today I am sharing these beautiful baby themed cards featuring the Baby Mini Dies set from Art Impressions. This set comes with four baby themed die cuts: rubber duck, safety pin, onesie, and a pacifier. I made two versions of this card. These projects are featured on the Art Impressions blog today, check it out here. To create the backgrounds I used the onesie die cuts in a unique way: as masks! The onesie die cut creates two images, the outfit and the heart. I used Gina K. Designs Masking Magic to create several masks of each image then I ink blended the background with Distress Oxide inks. I used water and Distress Oxide ink to create the splatter effect on the background.
To embellish the cards I created various decorative die cuts. I used vellum to create the Stitched Circle die cuts. The "hello baby" die cuts were created with my Cricut machine, Distress Oxide inks, and a white gel pen. I used Distress ink to color the safety pin die cuts…

i-Crafter Icy Snowflakes

Image
Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a winter themed card design featuring the new Snowflake Bursts die set from i-Crafter. This card is also featured on the i-Crafter blog today, check it out here. This card is super easy to make and super easy to replicate! First, I ink blended a scrap piece of cardstock with Distress Oxide inks to create an icy ombre blend. Next, I die cut the larger snowflake burst and the "warm wishes" sentiment from ink blended cardstock. The "warm wishes" sentiment die is from the Flip Card, Snowflake die set. To create the card background I used my Tumbled Glass ink to shade a light blue background onto a piece of white cardstock.  I only put a light covering of ink in the areas that would be covered by the snowflake die. I used a metallic mint-colored paint to create an ink splattering effect. I used a fine tip liquid adhesive to glue down the sentiment and the snowflakes to the background. Finally, to finish the card I matted the background ont…
