Hey everybody! It’s the 25th, so you know what that means, it’s the Crafty Festival Christmas Club blog hop! Each month we share a little bit of holiday inspiration with this hop. Instead of forcing yourself to make a bunch of holiday cards last minute, it spaces the work throughout the year. With one month left until Christmas I decided to step up my card game! This month I am featuring the Christmas Sea stamp set from Clearly Besotted to create an underwater Christmas scene. I used my Copic Sketch markers to color the scene images including a coral Christmas tree and an octopus wearing a Santa hat carrying presents. The colors I used are listed towards the end of this blog post.
I used white embossing power to heat emboss the punny “Season’s Greetings” sentiment onto the Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks to blend the blue-green background. I used plain water and Peacock Feathers Oxide ink to create the splattering effect on the background. I used liquid adhesive and foam tape to attach the colored pieces to the background.
