Gina K. Designs – Friendship Flower

Hi everyone! Today starts another Coloring Challenge hosted by The Daily Marker. For more information, visit The Daily Marker blog. I’ll be sharing my daily colorings mostly on Instagram, so make sure to follow my account here! Follow the hashtag #thedailymarker30day to see everyone’s creativity!

For Day 1, I wanted to practice the no-line coloring technique with a floral image. The Friendship Flower from Gina K. Designs is the perfect image for such practice! I used Inkon3 Fade Out ink to stamp the image on Neenah Solar White cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers, the colors I used are listed at the end of this blog post.

Next, I stamped the “so glad we are friends” sentiment with black pigment ink and heat embossed the sentiment with clear embossing powder to create an ink resisting effect.

After I finished coloring the image, I used Gina K Masking Magic to create a mask to ink blend over. I used KS Tiles Stencil and Pumice Stone oxide ink to blend the card background. I used Pumice Stone ink to create the ink splatter effect. I finished the card by adding gold gem embellishments.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog today! Be sure to look out for the hashtag #thedailymarker30day on Facebook and Instagram to see more coloring from other talented artists.
