The Rabbit Hole Designs Guest Designer – Wicked Cocktail Witch

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Today I am sharing a card I made using the new Cocktail Witch stamp set and the Aim for the Stars stencil from The Rabbit Hole Designs. This project is also being featured on The Rabbit Hole Designs blog today, make sure to check it out here! You can purchase the Cocktail Witch stamp set on The Rabbit Hole Designs website.
Cocktail Witch is a sassy take on the retro, pin-up cartoon style art. I really enjoy the cuddly cat friend and the bubbly concoction! This image can be colored in a bunch of wickedly fun variations. Check out this blog post to see some of my other fun creations with this set. This witch is frighteningly fun!
First, I colored the witch with my Copic Sketch markers giving her more of a wicked color scheme. I also used a white gel pen to add a sparkle look to her hat and dress. I have listed the colors I used at the end of this blog post.
To create the card, I die cut the front panel with a stitched rectangle die. For the background I used the ‘ink smooching’ technique with Distress Oxide inks. Once the background dried, I used the Aim for the Stars stencil and black ink to create the starry swirl. I attached the witch to the card front using double-sided foam tape. I heat embossed the “Just a little bit Wicked” sentiment onto a lime green sentiment strip and matted in with a black backing. To finish the card I used multiple matted layers of solid colored cardstock for some additional dimension.
