Hi everyone! Kindred Stamps is doing something a little different this month by releasing the Wacky Holiday stamp set during release week. Today I am sharing my creation with the new National Roller Skating Day (Oct. 1st) stamp set. This stamp set will be available Friday, Aug 28 at 8AM PST along with the other new release items. Check out my blog post from earlier this week for more sneak peaks on items available this Friday! I have created two projects featuring the new Roller Skating Day stamp set.
My first project is a regular A2 sized card featuring the adorable roller skating girl and the Retro Waves stencil. I ink blended with my Distress Oxide inks to create the retro color scheme on the card background and on the envelope flap. I used the Slimline Stitched Hillside Border dies to create the wavy borders to match the Retro Waves stencil. I heat embossed the “Let’s Roll” sentiment with silver embossing powder. I added pink enamel dots for embellishment.
My second creation is a slimline card (3.5″ x 8.5″) featuring the roller skate stamp and the Star Slimline stencil. I used my Distress Oxide inks to ink blend the rainbow background on black cardstock. I used the Slimline Stitched Hillside Border dies to create the wavy borders. I colored the skates with my Copic markers and then covered the boots with Liquid Glass to make the skate extra shiny. To finish the card I heat embossed the sentiment onto bright blue cardstock with white embossing powder. I used black ink to ink splatter onto the sentiment strip.
