i-Crafter Loving Parrots

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I am sharing this caring card featuring the Tunnel Card, Love Birds die set from i-Crafter. This card is the perfect little greeting for a loved one! This project is featured on the i-Crafter blog today too, so make sure to check it out here.
To create this card I used 3 different pieces of cardstock from the retired Magenta 6.5 x 6.5 Paper Pad by Kaisercraft: the black and white speckled paper, a lighter gray and the dark gray. I used gray and white paper for the backgrounds so the colorful birds will stand out more.
I used two of the three background dies from the Tunnel Card, Love Birds die set. I used the middle die to die cut the birds on the branch out of the dark gray cardstock. I used the front die to die cut the heart shape from the black and white speckled paper to create the front window. I die cut the smaller pieces that make up the birds from Neenah paper so I could use my Copic markers to give them bright colored feathers. The colors I used are listed at the end of this blog post.
I used the Distress Edges die to give the front layer funky edges to give it more of a tropical feel. Then I glued the three paper layers to the card base.
To finish this card I die cut the “hello” sentiment from the Flip Card, Dashed Circle die set with pink shaded pattern paper from the same Magenta paper pad, and I added some red and pink sequins.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. It’s fun to think of alternative ways to combine different products in your stash. Check back here soon for more i-Crafter inspiration!
