Ai Quick Birthday Tag

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Today I am sharing another birthday themed project featuring the Birthday Cake stamp set from Art Impressions. This gift tag was such a quick and easy project! It’s perfect for any birthday celebration. This project is featured on the Ai blog today, check it out here!

First I scored a piece of 3.5″ by 8.5″ piece of card base cardstock at 4.25″. I used the Oval Double Stitched die set to create the gift tag base. Next, I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the cake image onto the front of the tag. I used my Copic markers to color the image. The markers I used are listed below. I used Y000 to color the illuminated light around the candles and I used BG000 to add shading to the tag background.

After I finished coloring the tag, I stamped the “Oh Happy Day” sentiment from the WC Sentiments 2 stamp set with Dusty Concord Distress ink onto a sentiment flag die cut from the Flag Double Stitched dies set. I attached the sentiment strip to the side of the tag so I wouldn’t cover up too much of the cake image.
Last I used my Crop-O-Dile to punch a hole into the top of the gift tag so I could thread it with yellow twine and attach it to the gift tag! Wasn’t this such a fun and easy project?!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Check back next week for more Art Impressions inspiration!
