Spellbinders – Slimline Collection

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I’m sharing two creations I made using my Glimmer Hot Foil System from Spellbinders. Check out the Glimmer Hot Foil collection here.

Project 1

I wanted to give my first card more of an elegant look so I went with a pink, coral and gold color scheme. First, I ink blended the ombre background with Tattered Rose, Kitsch Flamingo, and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide inks on to a 3.5″ x 5″ piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. Once the background was dry, I used the Slimline Confetti Background hot foil plate with Gold Matte Foil to create the rising confetti look. Next, I used the “Congratulations” plate from the Essential Glimmer Sentiments hot foil plate set with the same Gold Matte Foil to create a 0.5″ x 4.25″ sentiment strip on black cardstock. I adhered the sentiment strip and the smaller card panel to the A2 sized white card base with double sided foam adhesive for extra dimension.

Project 2

For my second card, I used the Slimline Confetti Background plate and Mini Rainbow Stripe Foil to create a falling rainbow background onto a 3.75″ x 5.25″ piece of white cardstock. At the bottom of the front panel, I used the “Happy Birthday” plate from the same Slimline Confetti Background set to hot foil the sentiment with Fuchsia Flower Foil. I added a coral ribbon bow to the top of the card to help coordinate with the other project. To finish the card, I matted the front panel onto a piece of 4″ x 5.5″ dark purple card base.
